TNT established its footprint in Asia in 1964 with the setting up of its Asia Regional Office, here in Singapore, followed by the opening of its operations base in Singapore in 1974. Rabobank was established in Singapore in 1986. The Singapore office serves as the regional Asia head office as well as a product and support hub for Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines. Singapore was chosen as Rabobank's first Asian office, primarily for its central location and status as a key regional financial centre. Singapore is also the world's fourth largest foreign exchange trading centre.
