At the Business Days Northeast - Brabant a new pavilion will be realized namely: the Dutch – Asian Pavilion. This pavilion facilitates in an interesting and informative way entrepreneurs about business between “Asia and the Netherlands (gateway to Europe)”!
Objective of this initiative is dual.
1) To stimulate international business for Asian as well as Dutch companies between Asia and the Netherlands (gateway to Europe).
2) To increase understanding about the many advantages Asia has to offer in business as well as in culture, but of course also what the Netherlands (gateway to Europe) can offer to Asian investors, manufactures etc.
The Pavillion will consist of Asian entrepreneurs already settled in Brabant (the Netherlands) or are planning to do business in The Netherlands, companies which already do business (or are planning to) with the Far East, Asian and Dutch (semi-) governmental institutes, branch organisations and any other association or organisation involved in doing business between Asia and The Netherlands (gateway to Europe).
On top of that very interesting and informative activities will be presented about characteristic habits from Asia as well as The Netherlands, do’s and don’ts and lectures. Themes which will be covered are amongst others: environmental technology, sustainable energy, waste management, logistics, machine manufacturing, medical equipment, business services and many more.

The Asian Development Bank "Business Opportunities Seminar" is a three-part event for CEO's, owners, consultants and business development managers of companies in the region who are pursuing, or are interested in pursuing contracts with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

EuroCham launches the “Schuman Lecture Series” to promote Europe in Singapore and to commemorate the remarkable achievements of European integration since its modest beginnings in the European Coal and Steel Community in 1951. This annual event starting in 2009 will alternatively be celebrated with Singaporean and European dignities.
On Monday 7th December 2009, EuroCham will organize its first “Schuman Lecture” event with Guest of Honour President Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission (1999-2004), and former Prime Minister of Italy.
President Prodi’s presentation will focus on the key ingredients of success used in Europe that could be applicable for the future development of ASEAN. He will also speak about the actual and future economic relationship between Europe and ASEAN.

The aims of the trip are as follows:
The mission will be held on 11 – 12 November 2009 in Batam and Bintan islands. It is a full two-day mission, led by the Netherlands Ambassadors to Indonesia and Singapore, designed to gain a lot of information about the development and infrastructure opportunities in the Riau Islands, and to establish contacts with Provincial VVIPs and Batam based companies. The delegation will also visit the province’s main planned infrastructure projects and manufacturing bases.
